Dolce&Gabbana Dal Cuore Alle Mani

Origine is an artwork commissioned by Dolce & Gabbana for Dal Cuore Alle Mani, the brand’s 40th anniversary retrospective exhibition inaugurated in April 2024 at Palazzo Reale in Milan. Conceived as a dialogue between physical performance and digital transformation, the work combines choreographed movement with evolving visual interventions layered onto the dancers’ bodies.

The textures and motifs that define the visual identity of Dolce & Gabbana — black lace, floral patterns, animalier references, Sicilian tiles, and ornamental surfaces — become living material, shaping fluid anthropomorphic figures in constant metamorphosis. Sound also plays a central role within the installation, with an original soundtrack composed through experimental generative processes, creating an immersive audiovisual experience suspended between craftsmanship, memory, and contemporary visual culture.

Since its debut at Palazzo Reale in Milan, the exhibition has continued to tour internationally through prestigious institutions including Le Grand Palais in Paris, Palazzo Esposizioni in Rome, and the ICA in Miami, bringing the project into dialogue with diverse cultural contexts and audiences worldwide.
