Pomellato Decoding Femininity
This series of twelve portraits was created for the Pomellato retrospective exhibition at the Fosun Foundation in Shanghai. The project brings together a diverse constellation of models—each defined by a distinct age, cultural background, and personality—constructed and refined through an extensive generative process that allowed for a precise exploration of identity, presence, and expression.
Each portrait pairs these imagined figures with archival Pomellato jewelry, recontextualizing heritage pieces within contemporary visual narratives. The result is a dialogue between past and present, where craftsmanship and memory are reactivated through a layered process of image-making, animation, and creative experimentation.
